AUTMHQ UPDATES Bridging the Technology Gap – A Holiday Story
The holidays are here, which means it's time to decorate, cook for relatives, and enjoy the spiritual glow of keeping in touch with loved ones. Over the past 15 years, technology has grown rapidly – the advancements have meant changes to how we gift and how we all can spend the holidays.
Despite the recent challenges of bringing families together because of COVID-19, we have seen the use of technology to connect us. The coronavirus has transformed many aspects of Americans’ lives. We’ve transformed our daily experiences and technology played a role in this fundamental transformation. Unfortunately, tech use has not been a boon for everyone because of affordability and connection problems. More broadly, not all Americans have key tech skills. Americans with lower-tech readiness have had different experiences with technology during the pandemic. Tech struggles and usefulness alike vary with race and ethnicity. The importance of an organization like AUTMHQ cannot be overstated as it solves tech’s stubborn diversity gaps and makes dramatic changes to enable and empower individuals to become tech-literate and participate in the tech industry. It’s time to tech the holidays for everyone!

For Tech To Hire More Women, Perception Of The Industry Must Change
By Darren Parson, Chief Information Officer at NPD Group.
To diversify ranks, young women need to see themselves in lifelong tech careers. If the technology sector is to ever add more women, then the time has come for fresh thinking and new approaches. Since I began working in the industry — during the dot-com period — interested groups have demanded that more be done about the relatively small number of women working in the sector. Now seems to be the perfect time to recruit more. The pandemic and remote work opportunities have led untold numbers of workers to find new jobs and even careers. ________________________ ↪ When you enroll in our AUTMHQ programs, we will accompany you on your journey to becoming a member of the tech industry. How to hire a diverse staff in 2022: Don’t unknowingly limit your talent pool
While millions of people have quit their jobs in just the last month, this does not spell bad news for all employers — after all, talent is not just resigning, but reshuffling.
But what employers will win the talent they need in today’s competitive labor market? Daniel Chait, CEO of applicant tracking and recruitment software company Greenhouse, says that keeping diversity in mind will be critical to a successful hiring process and business.
“This is not just about social justice, although that's important,” says Chait. “It’s about being competitive because so much value comes from human capital in business today.” ________________________ ↪ AUTMHQ can help you enhance your skills and train for a new career in as little as 6 weeks!
U.S. needs modernization of immigration laws to fill 9 million tech job vacancies: Report
Worth mentioning here is that the current H-1B visa guidelines have remained unchanged over the past 14 years, despite the positive effects of immigration and its impact on the growth of the US economy.
New Delhi: With the United States (US) not producing enough skilled degree holders to fill demand for tech jobs, expanding high-skilled immigration is the best solution to fill the current skills gap and contribute to new business development and economic growth, said s report, published by Tech-Net.
If the US does not take steps to counter the shortage of high-skilled workers in the country, it could result in over 9 million job vacancies and $1.2 trillion in lost production over the next decade, the Economic Times mentioned citing the report published by network of technology CEOs.
