AUTMHQ UPDATES Bridging the Technology Gap – A Holiday Story

The holidays are here, which means it's time to decorate, cook for relatives, and enjoy the spiritual glow of keeping in touch with loved ones. Over the past 15 years, technology has grown rapidly – the advancements have meant changes to how we gift and how we all can spend the holidays.

Despite the recent challenges of bringing families together because of COVID-19, we have seen the use of technology to connect us. The coronavirus has transformed many aspects of Americans’ lives. We’ve transformed our daily experiences and technology played a role in this fundamental transformation. Unfortunately, tech use has not been a boon for everyone because of affordability and connection problems. More broadly, not all Americans have key tech skills. Americans with lower-tech readiness have had different experiences with technology during the pandemic. Tech struggles and usefulness alike vary with race and ethnicity. The importance of an organization like AUTMHQ cannot be overstated as it solves tech’s stubborn diversity gaps and makes dramatic changes to enable and empower individuals to become tech-literate and participate in the tech industry. It’s time to tech the holidays for everyone!

How to hire a diverse staff in 2022: Don’t unknowingly limit your talent pool

While millions of people have quit their jobs in just the last month, this does not spell bad news for all employers — after all, talent is not just resigning, but reshuffling.

But what employers will win the talent they need in today’s competitive labor market? Daniel Chait, CEO of applicant tracking and recruitment software company Greenhouse, says that keeping diversity in mind will be critical to a successful hiring process and business.

“This is not just about social justice, although that's important,” says Chait. “It’s about being competitive because so much value comes from human capital in business today.” ________________________ ↪ AUTMHQ can help you enhance your skills and train for a new career in as little as 6 weeks!

U.S. needs modernization of immigration laws to fill 9 million tech job vacancies: Report
