TAY INFORMED ⚖️ Technology and Cybersecurity Bills Have you been paying attention during the Texas Legislature session? The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) tracks technology-related legislation, including bills with directives specific to DIR and bills that impact the state in general. From regulating technology centers and consumers' personal data, to artificial intelligence and digital licensing, there are quite a few bills out there that will impact the tech ecosystem.

🤖 Innovation & Technology Caucus AUTMHQ is a proud community partner of the Innovation and Technology Caucus (IT Caucus). Members of the Texas House of Representatives and Texas Senate formed this bipartisan Innovation and Technology Caucus of the Texas Legislature as a policy shop and industry partner to focus on educating and informing members of ways to further advance technology industry innovation, growth and competitiveness here in Texas, and strengthening the already significant impact this sector has on the state's economy.

Equity Action Team Meeting | June 20th | 5:30-8:30 p.m. CDT | Virginia Brown Recreation Center One of AUTMHQ's community partners, Equity Action, has extended an invitation to their meeting on Tuesday, June 20th from 5:30-8:30pm at the Virginia Brown Recreation Center to learn about what’s in this year’s Community Investment Budget. AUTMHQ helped create this budget, lending our knowledge and expertise in Technology and digital equity.


Greater Austin STEM Ecosystem Board Member & Action Teams Application Form The Greater Austin STEM Ecosystem is looking for new Board and Action Team members. If you are interested in serving in either of these two capacities or want to learn more, click the link below.


The City of Austin wants to hear from you! The City of Austin is in the process of exploring the possibility of programming across generations (older adults and younger children) called intergenerational programming. Currently, there is a survey to understand people’s feelings about a possible intergenerational program or dedicated site for intergenerational programs.

Discussion of Superintelligence: Paths, Dangers, and Strategies - Online | June 14 | 7:15 p.m. CDT Austin Forum on Technology & Society will dive into the benefits superintelligence will bring to society and at what cost, how we as a society can ensure our own success in this new era, and what responsibilities we have to mitigate these dangers as we build a new form of intelligence that will change life as we know it.
