RETHINK AUSTIN 2022 Hola and Hello, AUTMHQ Community!
Austin Urban Technology Movement (AUTMHQ) in collaboration with Harlem Labs is presenting ReThink Austin 2022 for the fourth time this year. The theme for 2022 is "Leading by Action," and it will feature powerful leaders discussing topics around technology, entrepreneurship, community impact, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. ReThink Austin 2022 is planned to be hybrid and take place on March 12, 2022, at Vuka at Bouldin Creek, 411 W. Monrow Street, Austin Texas 78704. This edition will include guests such as Deepika Sangam, NASA EPDC Education Specialist at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She will be addressing "NASA Technology Drives Space Exploration." Waziri Garuba, CEO of Harlem Labs, will moderate a discussion with Ellen Bailey of Harvard Business Publishing about how to create a personal board. We will have a live NTF showcase with Chuma Chike-Obi of GMI Advisory Services; Ryder's against the Storm, Jonathan 'Chaka' Mahone, who is a Musician, Designer, and Founder; and Chris Tobar, Creative Director, Artist, Experience Curator Tobartakeover and _ofcolor. GRAMMY Award-nominated artist SaulPaul, who has established a worldwide reputation as a musician with a message, will also grace us with his presence and deliver an inspirational speech. Among outstanding tech showcases, we will have a Phenomenal Women panel with Melinda Garvey, Founder and CEO of On The Dot Global, and Co-Founder of AW Media, Mercedes Ballard, Co-Founder of Heristic.co, Muna Hussaini, Head of ESG Governance at Indeed.com, and Taisha Dotson, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Austin Women in Technology. This event is a remarkable display of diversity and opportunity in technology taking place at the same time and in the same place. We hope to see you there! If you are attending our ReThink Austin event in person, please keep in mind that Vuka at Boulding Creek is located on the edges of a residential area, and much of the street parking is prohibited. Please use the shuttle service (when available) or park in the approved lots. We don't want you to acquire a ticket! If you choose to park on the street, please read the signs carefully as parking is strictly enforced.
