🖤❤️💛💚 Honoring Black History Month

Join the movement and make a difference!

AUTMHQ UPDATES

Hola and Hello!

In this edition, we begin honoring Black History Month 2023 to pay tribute to the accomplishments and struggles of generations of African Americans throughout US history. While I was conducting research to learn about current events taking place this month, I came across the video above, which I found to be very inspiring and therefore, I share it here. This video depicts the extremely valuable contribution that children make to a healthy society. This is why Austin Urban Technology Movement (AUTMHQ) strongly supports two-generation learning, which helps, educates, and empowers both parents and children. We are confident that the tech industry will become a more inclusive sector as more parents guide their children toward achieving an education that will pay them a high salary. Before I share more, please follow our YouTube channel @autmhq. Our mission is to bridge the gap that exists between the Black and Hispanic communities and the tech industry. We provide the resources required for people of any age and their families to complete cohort-based courses that will lead to interviews at large tech corporations. We provide mentorship, devices, internet access, and other complementary services. If you require any additional information, please contact us here.

For this journey to be successful, we require that all program participants attend the events that we plan and execute so that they can network and establish very valuable relationships for their careers. So, if you want to give your children a bright future but don't know where to start, contact AUTMHQ. Our team will assist you in outlining the steps to complete the course or courses you choose, some of which are available in English and Spanish, and land interviews at great partner companies!

ATX EVENTS

Amplify Austin Day will be held on March 1-2!

Amplify Austin Day is right around the corner. During the biggest giving event in Central Texas, residents from across our community will come together to support hundreds of local nonprofits for 24 hours, starting at 6pm on March 1 through 6pm on March 2. All our funding goes towards increasing diversity in tech, while eliminating the skills gap and removing the barriers that make it difficult for our community to enter and thrive in the tech industry. So how can you help? Make a donation to us at https://www.amplifyatx.org/organizations/autmhq and then share the news with all of your friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors. Amplify Austin Day is all about collective community giving. Every gift will bring us one step closer to reaching this year’s big goal and help make a huge impact on our community.

9 Reasons why we donate to charities and non-profits

Giving to charity or the nonprofit organization is not a business transaction. It is a connection with the humans and the world. Many organizations are working to attract the donors to give. They have to work on different platforms and show the donors how their money is invested in a better way. The charitable donations help us to have an effective appeal. It is important that you reach out to the charity and listen to their stories. They will create an inspiration for you to donate. Here we have everything you need to know about such organizations before you donate to charity.

ReThink Austin 2023

📆 ReThink Austin 2023: Emerging Technology is almost here!

Our guest speakers will discuss how emerging technologies will impact central Austin in terms of technology, entrepreneurship, community impact, and DE&I. We will learn about emerging technology, which includes both new technology and the ongoing evolution of existing technology. It is frequently used to describe current innovations that will be available within the next five to ten years. It consists of technologies that have had or will have a significant social or economic impact. This event also contributes to AUTMHQ's awareness-to-employment pipeline, which aims to increase diversity in technology while also creating an ecosystem to close the wealth gap.
