💕 We have baby news to share!

Updated: Mar 7, 2022

What is the purpose behind the work you do?

AUTMHQ UPDATES Hola and Hello, AUTMHQ Community!

The AUTMHQ team is overjoyed to welcome baby Antoinette! Yes, our President and CEO, Michael Ward Jr., and his wife, Deseré Cross Ward, have welcomed a lovely baby daughter.

When Michael delivered the news to us, he reminded us of the "why" behind the work we execute. The "why" question is the most fundamental explanation of purpose—why we work on a task, why the task matters to a job, and why a job matters to an organization. The answer is a simple sense that the work we do is meaningful to others. Austin Urban Technology Movement (AUTMHQ) adds purpose and meaning to the communities we serve by putting our core values into action: communication, collaboration, consistency, and community. AUTMHQ's "why" is serving our AUTMites, supporters, volunteers, and the overall community.

An event like this one –– the birth of a new life –– reminds us that we are in charge of transforming not only an industry, but a world, to ensure that future generations have the greatest environment possible. Our "whys" should be filled with promise for a brighter tomorrow for the people we care about and those who rely on us. Congratulations to the Ward family! Paty Sesma Vice President of Marketing and Communications
