STEM EVENTS

🖐 Join us today at 2 p.m. CT!

No group faces a larger representation gap in STEM jobs than Latinos. By 2030, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects Hispanics and Latinos to account for 1 out of every 5 workers in the labor force, yet Latinos only make up 8% of our nation’s STEM workers. And a recent Pew Research Center report found that the gap in STEM workforce representation is not narrowing. In this roundtable discussion, we will hear from Latino leaders across the life sciences, engineering, and tech sectors about their experiences, and explore the challenges that Latinos face entering STEM as well as the opportunities this creates for companies operating in STEM fields.

Guest speakers (from left to right): ✔ Alex Padilla, Region Engineering Manager at Entergy ✔ Paty Sesma, VP of Marketing & Communications at AUTMHQ ✔ Jose M. Rodriguez, Sr. Director, Global Project Management & Technical Center of Excellence at Abbott
