🏡 Learn about Mueller’s Affordable Homes Program

In support of the community’s goals, the master plan for Mueller includes a commitment to diversity, providing a wide range of home types and prices. In order to reach that goal the Mueller Affordable Homes Program will include 25% of the total for-sale and for-rent residences throughout the community. The program was created specifically to include homes for families earning less than the area’s median income that might not otherwise be able to afford a home or rent an apartment in central Austin.

Catellus, the City of Austin, Mueller homebuilders and apartment developers work together to provide a portion of all the homes at Mueller at a purchase or rental price structured for these households through Mueller’s Affordable Homes Program.

ICYMI

This is a message from Michael Ward Jr., President and CEO of Austin Urban Technology Movement (AUTMHQ):

The Texas Governor's office issued a controversial memo to state agencies and public universities, claiming that "the use of diversity, equity, and inclusion policies in hiring violates federal and state employment laws?" These policies, however, coexist and complement one another. DEI policies support federal anti-discrimination laws such as the Equal Pay Act and the Civil Rights Act of 1991, which strengthens our hiring process and increases innovation. Without these two laws, we wouldn’t have the progress we have obtained today.
