Get plugged into the Movement

Updated: Oct 28, 2023

AUTMHQ UPDATE

Hola and Hello, Volunteers are a crucial part of the Austin Urban Technology Movement (AUTMHQ), so we thought it would be great for them to meet each other. As anticipated, our most recent volunteer mixer was a whirlwind of connections, laughter, and inspiration! From icebreakers that helped form connections to heartfelt volunteer stories, we shared, learned, and bonded during AUTMHQ’s volunteer mixer. After learning more about how they can get involved in the Movement towards diversity, equity and inclusion in tech, many volunteers left the mixer eager to make an even greater impact. Thanks to all who joined; your passion for change is contagious and proves that when we come together, magic happens! If you would like to volunteer in future efforts, sign up using the link below. There are many ways AUTMHQ Volunteers can assist our Autmites, whether that be through job placement, career development (mentorship) and/or building social capital. Until next time, keep the volunteer spirit alive!

Sincerely,

The AUTMHQ Team

SOA has been working hard this year to craft a national strategy framework to guide all members of the #STEMM community, from private and public sectors and across industries, toward a more equitable and inclusive future. Now they are looking for public input on the national strategy framework to close the opportunity gap in our STEMM ecosystem. Help them create a stronger and more equitable #STEMM ecosystem by providing written or verbal input using the link below:
