  • We served a total of 515 autmites in 2023

  • The graduation rate for our job placement program was 100%

  • We gave devices to 117 autmites in 2023

The Obsidi® Awards, presented by BMO, celebrates the movers and shakers making significant impacts in our community. From visionary executives to groundbreaking tech professionals, Obsidi seeks to honour the full spectrum of Black talent in technology.


Submit your Vote For AUTMHQ President Michael Ward Jr. for the Black Tech Community Builder of the Year Award


Voting will remain open until April 5 at 4:59 pm ET, with one vote allowed per person (IP device) daily. After the Top 3 Finalists are chosen, the final award category winner will be determined by the Obsidi® Awards Executive Committee and announced.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will be seen in the US from Texas to Maine. Join us for networking and eclipse resource sharing with representatives from the Austin Area Eclipse Planning Task Force and the Thinkery’s eclipse outreach-focused Joyful Learning Collaborative. Learn about activities, resources, and events you can share in your own networks, organizations, and communities. Light refreshments provided!

AI is everywhere now—in our personal lives and devices, in our work lives and tools, and in healthcare, entertainment, and financial services, everywhere! It may seem complex or daunting, but it is learnable and you can start right now.


Join us as we kick off the Austin Forum's "AI April" with an online event available to everyone, designed to help everyone learn about AI and even start using it right away with some hands-on exercises. Joey deVilla is an expert, entertaining presenter with experience helping people get into AI, and he will walk you through the fundamentals, the skills needed, and some examples and short labs to help you gain understanding and confidence Joey will provide some materials and a 'start project' for people who register ahead of the class so you can really get going and jump in!
