POSITION OVERVIEW:

IBM CIO is hiring several Full Stack Developers. We are looking for developers who are comfortable with multi-tasking and working as part of a global team. You will also work independently and should feel confident taking ownership of your work. If you are adaptive to ambiguity and willing to change in a fast-paced environment we might be a fit for you. As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll be integral to the process of invention and innovation. You’ll develop exciting solutions that change the way both IBMers and IBM clients work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead code reviews and provide feedback to your peers, your manager, and the team product owner

• Lead the review and estimation of requirements while working with your team to plan agile sprints related to application and process development roadmaps

• Lead architecture and technical roadmap planning sessions

• Propose implementation and architecture patterns and best practices to management and product teams

• Use your knowledge of React, Python, Node.js, Java, Github

• Commit and organize source code in GitHub enterprise

• Develop back-end processes and APIs required by front-end applications

• Define necessary data models and schemas for the applications you support

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three years’ experience developing modern web frame works

• Strong Python Development experience and knowledge

• Three years’ experience building restful APIs and Web services

• Three years’ experience object-oriented programming

• Two years’ experience working with relational databases

• One year experience working with agile principles and executing agile methods

• One year experience working with cloud-hosting solutions and CI/CD pipeline tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience operating within short release cycles

• Experience and/or knowledge with design thinking methods to understand personas and develop great user design

• Experience using modern collaboration tools in a highly responsive environment
