POSITION OVERVIEW:


Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager with good business program management and collaboration skills to partner with executive sponsors, business leaders, and operations teams. This position will define and own workstreams in our blockchain program. Your success will be determined by your ability to drive clarity across a complex technical and change management delivery in a cross functional organization.


The Microsoft Cloud Supply Chain and Provisioning group (CSCP) is an exciting and fast evolving team with a mission to optimize and deliver industry leading cloud infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft’s cloud services used by our customers around the world. The organization is responsible for strategy and delivery of the foundational platform for all Microsoft cloud services including demand and capacity forecasting, supply chain, data centers, networking, bandwidth, operations, and incident management. CSCP supports over 200 online businesses including Bing, O365, OneDrive, Xbox and Windows Azure branded services. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide and we are looking for passionate, high energy individuals to help achieve our mission to become an industry leading supply chain.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Strategy and Planning

  • Align to the vision, direction, and objectives of the Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation org broadly, while being focused on our blockchain program delivery, and engagement with suppliers, partners, operations teams, product team incubations.

  • Manage cross-functional teams of stakeholders to deliver on your aspects of the program.


Business Process

  • Define, coordinate, and lead the rhythm of the business (ROB) for the program and ensure alignment with the broader ROB for CSCP.

  • Establish all aspects of your workstream setting expectations for participants, leaders, and executive leadership.

  • Define and track key performance indicators and metrics to measure the success of the program and drive accountability.

  • Capture and track action items across the full portfolio of programs and ensure all items are driven to completion.


Communications

  • Share strategy, customer insights, technical collateral, and presentations with the ability to adapt for various levels of stakeholders. Internal stakeholders include executive leadership.

  • Create clarity for cross-functional collaboration and keep the team, partners and leaders updated on progress and roadblocks.

  • Day-to-Day Program Management

  • Lead and facilitate the day-to-day management of the program in partnership with the core program v-team, executive sponsors, and business leaders.

  • Partner with subject matter experts to drive delivery and adoption of the program.


Engineering

  • Manage the end-to-end engineering relationship to establish a shared strategic framework, technical vision, plans, roadmap and feedback efforts to drive product development to meet commitments of our 1st party and 3rd party customers.

  • Listen and understand customer requirements, and translate them into viable technical roadmaps, programs, plans as well as cloud architectures with the ability to communicate up through executive level.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 10+ years of experience years in professional Software Development or Program Management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience

  • Experience in technical concepts in cloud computing environments such as logical access control, agile development process, secure coding principles, security architecture, information security, network security, and privacy.

  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically, with a strong bias for action.

  • Flair for program management and good communication skills.

  • Ability to try, fail, learn, and improve and never be tired of doing this again and again.

  • Customer-obsessed with the focus to cut through the noise and build what our customers need and not always what they want.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of supply chain roles in SCOR framework.

  • Experience working withing finance profession a plus.

  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.

  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.

  • Ability to think strategically in a structured manner and to land business plans and recommendations with business partners at a senior executive level.

  • A focus on execution excellence and ability to manage cross functional programs with broad scope and complexity simultaneously.

  • Ability to develop strategic relationships and trusted partnerships with new or existing customers, partners, or internal groups.
