About the event
Street Genius is presented by a collaborative of nonprofits including Austin Urban Technology Movement, Con Mi Madre/Con Mi Hermano, 100 Black Men Austin, UT's Office of Inclusive Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Lucero Creative and the founder of Latinitas.
This 2 Day event invites boys:
Thursday, Aug 1, 2pm-6pm for film basics and practice
Friday. Aug 2, 10am-6pm to draw, shoot and edit their own film
Using their own phones, boys will be invited to learn film technique and work together to shoot their own short movie or music video. Together with mentors and experts working in film boys can flex their story telling skills.
No experience is necessary.
