Meet Slalom employees Lucero Perez, a Sr. Consultant in the Organizational Effectiveness practice, Gustavo Cardenas, a Data Engineering Consultant, and Cyrus Motanya, a Consultant in the Business & Experience Innovation practice, and learn how they help companies tackle their most ambitious projects and develop new capabilities. About the guests:

Lucero Perez:

Lucero is a Sr. Consultant in the Organizational Effectiveness practice at Slalom. She has a B.A. in Organizational Psychology and a master’s in public policy from Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey. She also has an M.B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin. Lucero has lived and worked in Mexico, Canada, France, Ireland, and the U.S. Prior to joining Slalom, she worked at a global software company in the sales consulting group, a large consulting company in human capital strategy, and an international organization in rural development policy research. She currently lives in Austin with her husband and her pup, Frida Bubbles.

Gustavo Cardenas:

Gustavo Cardenas was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. His family is from Mexico City, which is where his cultural foundations are. He attended the University of Texas at El Paso, where he studied Computer Science and Computer Information Systems. As a student, he worked as a lead researcher for a healthcare data venture, writing grants, securing funding, and implementing data strategy. He was also a research lead for Lockheed Martin's computer vision Machine Learning research wing. In addition, he operated and ran an admission coaching service that primarily assisted high school students and young professionals in breaking into STEM fields and academic institutions. His first job in the industry was as a data engineer at General Motors. He served as Vice President of JumpStart ERG, which is focused on career advancement for young professionals. He volunteered as the chair of GM's Latino Network's Board of Directors. He joined Slalom to look for work as a data engineering consultant.

Cyrus Motanya

Cyrus is a Consultant in the Business & Experience Innovation practice at Slalom and is an experienced business strategist with a background in large scale transformation, strategy development, and financial analysis across multiple industries. He has an A.B. in Government with a Secondary in East Asian Studies from Harvard College where he graduated in 2017. Prior to joining Slalom, Cyrus worked as a consultant at Oliver Wyman focusing on risk and change management.
