When you intern or volunteer with Austin Public Health (APH), you're involved in the day-to-day activities of a public health organization. APH's interns and volunteers have the opportunity to contribute to preventing disease, promoting health, and protecting the well-being of our community while gaining invaluable experience they can use in the future.

Participation in our VIP program will enable you to acquire lifelong skills and position you for a public service career. Our VIP program is designed to further serve as an educational training opportunity for prospective public health professionals through the mentorship and guidance of Austin Public Health staff. Quality supervision and a great experience are the main priorities for our VIP program, as such, there are limited VIP spots available each semester. Once all applications have been received interviews will be scheduled.  A completed application does not guarantee an interview or acceptance into the program.
